What kind of Korean learning app is Hanmadi?

Hanmadi is an app for practicing Korean conversation with English meanings and guidance. It has 100 travel and everyday situations, from café orders and introductions to plans with friends. Listen to short conversations, check the meaning when needed, and say your own turn aloud. Requests and reactions are practiced as part of a whole exchange. Every scene you finish adds a card to your album, and each chapter ends with a message from someone in the story. Every day at noon, a new phrase you can use right away arrives too.

Can I start as a beginner?

Start with short conversations and check English meanings and guidance when you need them. Follow a model at first, then gradually practice forming more of your own replies.

Can I use it for free?

Yes. All 100 scenes can be practiced for free, in order, from the very first one, with no account needed. With Hanmadi Pass, there are no ads and no waiting, so you can ride your momentum straight into the next scene.

What is Hanmadi Pass?

It’s for learners who don’t want anything to break their rhythm: no ads, no waiting, just straight on to the next scene. Pass revenue also helps keep free learning going and fund new conversations and audio.

What happens to my pronunciation recordings?

Recordings are handled only on your device and never sent anywhere. They disappear when you leave the practice. When you finish a sentence, your pronunciation is checked on the device and you get a quick word right away, like “Great pronunciation!”. This web preview plays conversation audio but does not record you.

When and where will the app be available?

We are preparing Hanmadi for iOS and Android with guidance in Japanese, English, Taiwan Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese. We will share the release date and download links here when confirmed.
